Privacy Policy
Effective Date: November 6, 2026
This Privacy Policy applies to the Print Remote application (the "Application") for Android, iOS, macOS, and Windows, provided by NTWIND LLC ("NTWIND", "we", or "us").
1. How the Application Works
Print Remote lets you use a printer installed on a Windows PC or Mac from a phone, tablet, or another computer on the same local network. Android and iOS send jobs; Mac and Windows send and receive jobs and can prepare pages locally through This Device. The receiving computer prepares selected sources as PDF pages and either submits the selected pages to its printing service or returns a PDF through Save PDF.
The Application does not require an account, use advertising or tracking SDKs, or operate a cloud service to upload or relay your print jobs. Your devices communicate directly over your local network. We do not receive your selected content through the Application unless you choose to send it to us, such as in a support request. Printing a URL can contact external websites, and selecting cloud-backed files or photos can involve their providers.
2. Information Used on Your Devices
Depending on the features you use, the Application may access, generate, and store the following information on your devices:
- Devices and network: device names and types, local addresses, discovery information, connection status, paired-device records, security credentials, and receiver-local Print and Save PDF permissions.
- Sources: selected files and images, source names, types, sizes and order, local file references or imported copies, URLs, and typed or pasted text.
- Preparation and output: temporary source copies, converted PDFs, page previews, page selections and order, headers and footers, final PDFs, printer names and identifiers, printer capabilities and settings, job authorization, and submission results.
- History and preferences: sent, received, and local activity, timestamps, peer names, source references and names, saved text or URLs, page counts, outcomes, saved PDF locations, optionally retained received PDFs, the working selection, application settings, and local network or diagnostic logs.
The Application uses this information to discover and pair devices, transfer selected sources, prepare and preview pages, print or save PDFs, restore available sources, and troubleshoot problems. Network messages include the source content and metadata needed for the requested job. Local filesystem references, converter commands, temporary paths, and native diagnostic details are not exposed as remote file access or command controls. Content you select, including text or documents containing paths or other sensitive information, is transferred as part of that content.
3. File and Photo Access
You choose the files, images, URLs, and text to process. Mobile file and image selection may create imported copies in the Application's temporary storage. Cloud-backed files or photos may need to download through your operating system or provider before use. Temporary imports may become unavailable later, so History is not a backup of your originals.
On Mac and Windows, the Application uses the local file access you grant. It does not provide a remote browser for arbitrary files on another device. Deleting a History entry does not delete the original source file or photo.
4. Local Transfers, Conversion, and Printing
Remote jobs require approved pairing. Connections between paired devices are encrypted and checked against the paired device's certificate. The receiving computer controls Print and Save PDF permissions separately. Selected source bytes and job metadata are sent to that computer, which prepares previews and PDFs and returns previews, capabilities, and results to the sender. Save PDF returns the requested output PDF to the sender.
Office conversion may use compatible Microsoft Office or LibreOffice software installed on the receiving computer. Web conversion uses the computer's web runtime. Printer submission passes the final PDF and requested settings to the receiving computer's printing service and driver, which may in turn send data to the printer or a configured print server. These components may create their own temporary files, queues, logs, or retained copies under their own settings and policies.
The Application uses temporary job storage for uploads, conversions, previews, and output. It cleans up completed printer submissions and discarded jobs, expires inactive drafts, and checks for stale job data at startup. Cleanup can be delayed by interrupted sessions, locked files, or operating-system behavior. A saved PDF, a retained History PDF, and data held by the printing service are separate from temporary preparation files.
5. URLs and Other Third-Party Services
When you add a URL, the receiving computer requests the page or direct file and may load redirects and related resources. The destination and its service providers can receive ordinary request information, including that computer's public IP address and details of the requested URL. Website requests may use the internet; the Application does not relay them through an NTWIND cloud service. Access to local or private URL destinations is controlled by Allow local and private URLs on the computer preparing the pages.
The mobile share sheet passes an exported PDF to the destination you choose, which may be a cloud service or another app. App stores, operating systems, file or photo providers, converters, web runtimes, printers, print servers, and networks have their own policies. Visiting NTWIND websites, downloading the Application, or contacting support can also involve ordinary website, email, or hosting providers.
We do not sell personal information or share local print-job data with advertisers or data brokers.
6. History, Retention, and Your Choices
You can clear the working selection, disable Save to history, change the number of saved entries, delete individual entries, or clear History. Outgoing and local entries can retain source references, URLs, and text for Repeat. Incoming entries can retain the final PDF when Keep received PDFs and history recording are enabled on the receiver; original incoming sources are not retained by that setting.
Retained PDFs are kept in local Application storage with a storage limit. Older retained copies can be removed to make space, and deleting their History entries removes their app-retained PDFs. Disabling future recording or retention does not itself clear existing History. PDFs saved separately, copies exported to other apps, originals, and printer queues remain under their respective owners' controls.
You can remove paired devices, change their receiver-local permissions, revoke operating-system permissions, clear Application data, or uninstall the Application. Removing a pairing record on one device does not automatically remove the separate record on the other device. Uninstalling removes local Application data according to your operating system's behavior.
7. Support Requests
If you contact us, you may choose to send your email address, screenshots, logs, device details, or other information. Support materials can contain source names, URLs, device names, local addresses, paths, or content visible to you. We use them to respond to your request and maintain support records. Include only the information needed for your request. Support correspondence is kept as long as reasonably needed to answer requests, maintain records, protect against abuse, or meet legal obligations.
8. Security and Children's Privacy
Pair only trusted devices and review Print and Save PDF permissions on each receiver. Protect the receiving computer, its account, printer, and network, and consider who can collect printed pages. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure. The Application is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the Application.
9. International Processing
If you visit our website, download the Application, use third-party services, or contact support, information related to those activities may be processed in countries where we or those service providers operate, subject to applicable law.
10. Changes and Contact
We may update this policy and will post the revised version with a new effective date. For privacy questions, contact NTWIND LLC at [email protected].
