Key Features
- Keep the Printer You Already Have: Use a printer installed on your PC or Mac from other supported devices on the same network. An older USB printer can work too, provided its driver works on the receiving computer.
- Print from Your Phone or Another Computer: Send jobs from Android, iPhone, iPad, Mac, or Windows. The receiving PC or Mac prepares the pages and submits them to its printer.
- Bring Different Sources Together: Add PDFs, supported images and documents, web links, or typed and pasted text. Office and OpenDocument conversion uses compatible software installed separately on the receiving computer.
- Choose the Pages You Need: Review all prepared pages in one sequence, open larger previews, select individual pages, and rearrange their order before printing.
- Use Your Printer's Options: Choose a printer, copies, paper, color, duplex, orientation, scaling, and collation where the printer and driver support them.
- Add Headers and Footers: Include a source name, page number, date, or date and time in the final PDF for Print and Save PDF.
- Save a PDF Instead: Have the receiving computer combine your selected pages and return one PDF to the device you are using. Save it on desktop or export it through the mobile share sheet.
- Find Previous Activity: Review sent, received, and local actions in History. Restore available sources with Repeat or open a saved or retained PDF when available.
- Connect Directly: Pair trusted devices and transfer jobs over encrypted local connections. No account or Print Remote cloud upload is required. Each receiver controls Print and Save PDF permissions separately.

User Interface Design
Print Remote has three main tabs:
- Print Tab: Add and arrange your sources, then select a receiving computer. Review the prepared pages, choose printer settings, and use Print or Save PDF.
- History Tab: Review previous actions, filter by device, inspect details, restore available sources, or open PDFs that are still available.
- Devices Tab: Pair nearby devices, give them recognizable names, and manage each paired device's permissions on the receiving computer.
What You Need
A Windows PC or Mac with a working printer installation, plus Print Remote on the sending device and receiving computer. The printer can be connected by USB or another connection supported by that computer. Print Remote uses the computer's printer drivers; it cannot make an unsupported printer work without a compatible driver.
PDFs, supported images, and typed or pasted text need no Office software. DOC/DOCX, XLS/XLSX, and PPT/PPTX require compatible Microsoft Office or LibreOffice software on the receiver. ODT, ODS, ODP, and RTF require LibreOffice. You can choose the Office document converter in desktop Settings or export your document to PDF first. Password-protected PDFs are not supported.
Web pages and direct file links are fetched by the receiving computer, which needs access to the requested site. Website requests and cloud-backed file downloads may use the internet even though Print Remote's device-to-device connection stays on your local network. Private or local web addresses require Allow local and private URLs in Settings on the receiving computer. Windows web conversion requires Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime.
Connect your printer once, keep the computer ready, and use it from the devices you already carry.
