Privacy Policy
Effective Date: July 20, 2026
This Privacy Policy applies to the Gallery Remote application (the "Application") for desktop computers and mobile devices, created by NTWIND LLC ("NTWIND", "we", "us", or "Service Provider").
1. Information We Collect and Use
Gallery Remote is designed for local-network photo presentations. The Application does not require an account, does not use advertising, does not use tracking SDKs, and does not operate a cloud service for uploading or relaying your slideshows between your devices.
Local Use
When you use the Application, settings and operational data are stored locally on your devices. We do not receive, store, or access this local-only data unless you choose to send it to us, for example in a support request.
Depending on your device, settings, and the features you use, the Application may access, generate, store, cache, or exchange the following information locally or between your own paired devices:
- Device information: device name, device type, device model, operating system, app version, and local network address.
- Network information: local IP address, network port, nearby-device discovery information, Bonjour/mDNS discovery information, and connection status.
- Pairing and security information: trusted-device records, security credentials, receiver-local Start shows and Remote control permissions, pairing state, temporary session identifiers, and random session authorization tokens.
- Photo and image information: photo-library asset identifiers, selected image file paths or security-scoped references, file names, file sizes, dimensions, dates, source album or folder labels, availability state, presentation order, and opaque identifiers used during an active show.
- Image content: source photos you select, generated thumbnails, display-sized renditions, and locally cached renditions used to prepare and present a slideshow.
- Presentation information: current photo index, item count, play or pause state, autoplay interval, transition choice, loop and full-screen state, presentation target, and session status.
- App data: the working selection, saved Albums and their use history, custom Album titles, pinned state, device list, hidden-device preferences, local settings, and diagnostic or network log information.
We use this information to access photos you select, build ordered selections, discover and pair nearby devices, authenticate encrypted local requests, generate and deliver image renditions, synchronize and control active slideshows, restore saved Albums, and troubleshoot connection or presentation problems.
Support Requests
If you contact us for support, you may choose to provide your email address, diagnostic details, screenshots, logs, device information, or other information in your message. Support materials could contain photo names, paths, device names, local addresses, or other details visible in the Application. We use support information to respond to your request, troubleshoot issues, improve the Application, protect against abuse, and maintain support and business records.
2. Photo Library and Local File Access
On Android and iOS, Gallery Remote accesses the system photo library only as permitted by you and the operating system. You can select complete local albums or individual photos. Whole-album selection may require access to all photos. Cloud-backed items, such as iCloud photos, may be downloaded by the operating system or platform photo service before Gallery Remote can prepare them. Cloud-only Google Photos albums that Android does not expose through MediaStore are not available to the Application.
On Mac and Windows, you choose individual supported image files. The Application stores local references needed to reopen those files and may store a security-scoped bookmark on macOS. Gallery Remote version 1 does not share or browse arbitrary desktop folders through a paired device.
You are responsible for the photos and files you select and for the privacy policies, account settings, network use, and data handling of Apple, Google, Microsoft, or any other photo-storage provider or operating-system service you use.
3. Local Network Communication and Image Transfer
Gallery Remote communicates between your paired devices over your local network or
During a remote presentation, the receiving device requests temporary thumbnail and display renditions from the source. The source keeps control of access to the selected items. Received in-memory session images and outstanding requests are cleared when the presentation ends, but operating systems and networking components may maintain their own temporary caches. The source Application may keep a bounded local cache of generated renditions to improve later presentations; this cache is pruned automatically and can be removed by clearing Application data or uninstalling.
Because Gallery Remote is a local-network application, your router, operating system, firewall, VPN, internet service provider, or network administrator may process network traffic according to their own settings and policies.
4. Third-Party Services
The Application does not use third-party advertising or analytics SDKs. We do not sell personal information.
The Application may be distributed through third-party app stores and platforms. Those providers may process information according to their own privacy policies:
If you use a platform photo library or cloud-backed photo service, that provider may process requests and image data according to its own privacy policy. If you visit NTWIND websites, download updates, or contact support, your browser, email provider, hosting provider, anti-spam provider, or other infrastructure providers may process standard technical information needed to provide those services.
5. Data Sharing
We do not automatically receive your photos, photo-library identifiers, image file paths, working selection, saved Albums, device list, pairing data, local IP addresses, presentation state, or session history.
Selected image renditions and presentation state are shared only with the paired devices participating in a show, as needed to provide the feature you request. We share information with other parties only as needed to provide and protect the Application, respond to support requests, operate our websites and communications, comply with law or legal process, prevent abuse or security incidents, or enforce our rights. We do not share your local Gallery Remote data with advertisers or data brokers.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
Local-only data remains on your device until you delete selections or saved Albums, clear the Application data, reset settings where available, remove paired devices, delete or move source photos, clear system caches, or uninstall the Application. Unpinned saved Albums may also be removed automatically according to the maximum history setting.
Uninstalling the Application removes local app data according to your operating system's uninstall behavior. Removing a paired device deletes that device's local pairing record on the device where you remove it; the other paired device may keep its own local record until removed there as well. Deleting an Album entry removes Gallery Remote's saved selection record, not the original photos from your photo library or file system.
Support emails and related correspondence are retained as long as reasonably needed to respond to your request, maintain support records, protect against abuse, comply with legal obligations, and maintain business records.
7. Security
Gallery Remote is built for trusted local networks. Devices must be paired before remote presentations can start, local requests between paired devices are encrypted, and active sessions use temporary authorization and opaque asset identifiers. The receiving device stores and enforces its own permissions. You should pair only devices you own or trust, keep your devices and operating systems updated, review photo-library access, and use Gallery Remote only on networks you trust.
No method of transmission or electronic storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, especially on networks, devices, photo services, app stores, or operating systems outside our control.
8. Children's Privacy
The Application is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at [email protected] so we can take appropriate action.
9. International Processing
If you contact us, visit our website, download updates, or use platform services, information related to those activities may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States or other locations where we or our service providers operate. By using the Application, you understand that such information may be transferred to and processed in those locations, subject to applicable law.
10. Your Choices
You may use Gallery Remote without an account. You may manage photo access through operating-system settings and manage the working selection, saved Albums, paired devices, receiver permissions, and other settings within the Application. You may stop local network communication by closing the Application, disabling background or tray behavior where available, blocking it in your firewall, removing paired devices, or uninstalling the Application.
You may choose not to send diagnostic details, screenshots, or logs to us when contacting support, but that may limit our ability to troubleshoot your issue.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated Privacy Policy on this page and update the effective date. Your continued use of the Application after the updated Privacy Policy is posted means you accept the updated policy.
