Terms of Use

Effective Date: October 20, 2026

These Terms of Use ("Terms") apply to the Desktop Remote application (the "Application") for desktop computers and mobile devices, created by NTWIND LLC ("NTWIND", "we", "us", or "Service Provider").

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the Application, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Application.

1. License and Permitted Use

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Application for your personal or internal business use.

You may not copy, modify, sell, rent, lease, sublicense, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Application except as permitted by law or expressly authorized by us. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to extract the source code of the Application except to the extent applicable law allows despite this restriction. All intellectual property rights in the Application remain owned by NTWIND LLC or its licensors.

Open-source components remain subject to their respective licenses.

2. Local Network and Pairing

Desktop Remote is built for viewing and recording the screen of a paired Windows PC or Mac from a phone or tablet, with optional mouse and keyboard control. Use it only on devices you own or are authorized to access. The Application works over your local network or Wi-Fi using local discovery, pairing, encrypted local requests, peer-to-peer preview, and per-controller permissions.

You are responsible for pairing only trusted devices and for keeping your devices, operating-system accounts, local network, router, firewall settings, and local storage secure. You may delete paired devices or change permissions in the Application where available.

3. Screen Viewing, Recording, and User Responsibility

Desktop Remote can show a live view of one selected monitor, take JPEG screenshots, and start or stop silent H.264/MP4 screen recordings on a paired Mac or Windows computer. Completed captures transfer to the controller. Monitor selection and mouse or keyboard control are available when separately permitted. Viewing and recording do not require remote input to be enabled. Android and iOS are controllers and Records stores; Mac and Windows can also share and capture their screens. Active viewing, control, and recording remain visibly indicated on the sharing computer.

You are responsible for the screen sessions and commands you start with the Application and for ensuring each action is safe, authorized, and appropriate. You must obtain any consent required before viewing, controlling, capturing, recording, saving, or sharing screen content. You agree not to use the Application for unlawful, harmful, infringing, unauthorized, covert, or malicious monitoring, or to access, control, disrupt, damage, or interfere with devices, networks, accounts, data, displays, files, or systems that you do not own or are not authorized to use.

When another person is allowed to view, record, or control your screen, you are responsible for choosing appropriate permissions, supervising that access, and keeping the screen-use indicator visible. The sharing computer stores six separate permissions for each controller and can revoke access or end the session locally. Mouse and keyboard permissions default off.

4. Captures and Third-Party Content

Desktop Remote does not provide surveillance services, cloud desktop hosting, cloud storage, public streams, video-conferencing services, or media content. The Application only helps you view or record a screen, optionally send permitted mouse and keyboard input, and create, transfer, manage, save, or share captures on devices you control.

You are responsible for the screen view, screenshots, screen recordings, poster images, file destinations, and sharing actions you choose, including their legality, content, retention, security, and required permissions. Third-party displays, drivers, operating systems, galleries, storage providers, messaging apps, social networks, and other destinations may have their own terms, privacy policies, fees, restrictions, and technical requirements.

5. Fees and Paid Features

Desktop Remote is currently provided as a free application. We may change how the Application or related services are offered in the future. Any charges, if introduced, will be communicated through the applicable app store, website, or Application interface before they apply.

If you obtained the Application through Apple App Store, Google Play, Microsoft Store, or another marketplace, your use may also be subject to that store's terms, privacy policy, billing rules, refund rules, taxes, and payment requirements.

6. Third-Party Services

The Application may be distributed through third-party app stores and platforms, including Apple and Google. Third-party services may be governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services, app store systems, payment systems, displays, drivers, destination apps, storage providers, network infrastructure, outages, or changes outside our control.

7. Connectivity, Availability, and Updates

Some features require local network connectivity between your devices. You are responsible for network access, data charges, device compatibility, display and driver compatibility, firewall and router configuration, available storage, destination compatibility, and keeping your device and operating system secure.

Desktop Remote may not work if devices are on different networks, guest networks, isolated networks, VPNs, blocked by firewalls, out of storage, denied screen-capture, input, or local-network access, or prevented from communicating by router or operating-system settings.

Screen viewing, recording, and input depend on the sharing computer, operating system, display, driver, supported capture mode, permissions, storage, network, and destination application. Screen recordings do not include audio. Operating systems may block capture or input on protected screens, password fields, or elevated applications. Desktop Remote does not bypass those protections or provide administrator elevation. We do not guarantee that every preview, command, quality preset, file, share action, display, or input operation will work with every device, operating-system version, driver, destination, or network.

We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Application at any time. We do not guarantee that the Application will always be available, error-free, uninterrupted, or compatible with every display, device, operating-system version, media format, storage location, destination, or network environment.

8. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle, use, share, retain, and delete information. By using the Application, you agree to the Privacy Policy available at:

https://www.ntwind.com/remote/desktop/privacy.html

9. Termination

You may stop using the Application at any time by uninstalling it or closing it where supported. We may suspend or terminate your right to use the Application if you violate these Terms, create risk or possible legal exposure for us, misuse the Application, or where required by law.

Upon termination, the license granted to you ends and you must stop using the Application. Sections intended to survive termination, including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and dispute-related provisions, will survive.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Application is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, NTWIND LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenues, data, goodwill, business opportunities, capture contents, storage media, privacy, device availability, interrupted activity, failed captures, incomplete transfers, duplicate files, deleted files, destination actions, third-party content, or other losses arising from or related to your use of or inability to use the Application.

12. Apple-Specific Terms

For versions distributed through the Apple App Store, Apple is not responsible for the Application or its content. Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms for Apple-distributed versions and may enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary. If these Terms conflict with Apple's applicable terms for Apple-distributed apps, Apple's terms control to the extent required by Apple.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post updated Terms on this page and update the effective date. Your continued use of the Application after updated Terms are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
